May Chen is an Editorial Director for the Avon/Morrow Group. She reads widely across genres, but her favorite stories are ones brimming with longing and swooning. She is the editor of the #1 New York Times bestselling authors Tessa Bailey, Meg Cabot, Karen Marie Moning, Julie Murphy as well as bestselling authors Lisa Kleypas, Jill Shalvis, Sierra Simone, and Mariana Zapata to name a recent few. (When not reading or editing, she can be found watching reality tv with a bag of Cheetos.)

Laura Schreiber joined the Morrow/Avon team in 2024. She is acquiring contemporary romance, romantasy, and upmarket fiction with a strong commercial hook. Recent notable titles include A Broken Blade by Melissa Blair and B&N “Our Monthly Pick” Not So Perfect Strangers by L.S. Stratton. She is particularly interested in new adult romance, accessible high-concept fantasy, and thrillers with a subversive twist. She loves when an author brings an unexpected perspective to a popular trend.

Ariana Sinclair is an Associate Editor for the Avon/Morrow group. She edits a wide range of fiction including commercial women’s fiction and contemporary romance, especially stories centered around diverse characters and romantic relationships with equal measures of humor and heart. For Avon, she’s proud to publish bestselling author Nisha Sharma as well as debut authors including Rachel Greenlaw, Alexandra Paige, and Betty Corrello.

Madelyn Blaney joined the Morrow/Avon team in 2022 as an Editorial Assistant. She is drawn to stories that feature diverse characters and strong narrative voices. Particular interests include contemporary fiction for Gen Z/millennial audiences, stories that feature love in unexpected ways, and fiction set in underrepresented or unique settings.

Shannon Plackis joined Avon Books as an Editor in 2024. She began her publishing career with Kensington Publishing in 2016 and since then, she has worked on a wide array of genres: romance, mystery, thriller, speculative fiction, women’s fiction, and non-fiction. She has edited critically acclaimed author Kate Clayborn, USA Today bestselling author Annie Rains, and popular TikTok content creator Katie Siegel. She worked on titles including Indie Next Pick Charlotte Illes Is Not a Detective, Georgie, All Along, which garnered an Indie Next Pick, Library Reads Pick, and a Book of the Month selection, and PEN America Literary Award Finalist 999.

Allie Roche joined the Avon team in 2022 after completing her master’s degree specializing in Gothic Romance. She is thrilled to have her dream job where she gets to continue engaging with her lifelong passion for storytelling on a daily basis.
